Wind Energy Sector

Texans traditionally used wind energy to pump well water for cattle, but today wind power increasingly is used for commercial-scale electricity production. During the last decade, wind energy growth rates worldwide exceeded 30 percent annually, driven in part by improved technology and government policies.
In the last three years, the wind energy markets have experienced a rapid expansion of capacity. Wind power was the leading source of electricity capacity added in 2006 and 2007, exceeding additions of all other types of power plants combined.
Wind power is an abundant, widely distributed energy resource that has zero fuel cost, zero emissions and zero water use. Wind’s drawbacks are largely related to its variable nature and the fact that the best areas for generating wind energy are often found far from urban centers. Wind speed and direction can change by the season, day and hour and thus require backup from power plants that can run anytime, such as coal or gas plants. Wind farms in parts also require hundreds of miles of new transmission lines to carry wind-generated electricity from its source to customers in more populated areas of the state, resulting in significant transmission costs. Wind energy has high up front capital costs that currently make it dependent on federal subsidies.
Keeping in view the advantages of this Renewable energy we 3Dots Consulting Service entered in to the business of providing Survey and mapping services from 2005- till date and have the experience of working with the various Multinational Clients in India.

Solar Energy Sector

Solar Energy is defined as “energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation emitted from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy on Earth.” Using solar energy technologies could diversify the country’s energy supply, and reduce the country’s dependence on imported fuels,
Solar Energy is the radiant light and heat from the Sun that has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Only a minuscule fraction of the available energy is used.
We have always used the energy of the sun as far back as humans have existed on this planet. As far back as 5,000 years ago, people "worshipped" the sun. Ra, the sun-god, who was considered the first king of Egypt. In Mesopotamia, the sun-god Shamash was a major deity and was equated with justice. In Greece there were two sun deities, Apollo and Helios. The influence of the sun also appears in other religions - Zoroastrianism, Mithraism, Roman religion, Hinduism, Buddhism, the Druids of England, the Aztecs of Mexico, the Incas of Peru, and many Native American tribes. We know today, that the sun is simply our nearest star. Without it, life would not exist on our planet. We use the sun's energy every day in many different ways. When we hang laundry outside to dry in the sun, we are using the sun's heat to do work -- drying our clothes. Plants use the sun's light to make food. Animals eat plants for food. Decaying plants hundreds of millions of years ago produced the coal, oil and natural gas that we use today. So, fossil fuels is actually sunlight stored millions and millions of years ago. Indirectly, the sun or other stars are responsible for ALL our energy.

Irrigation Sector

Irrigation is defined as the group of application techniques where water is applied and distributed over the soil surface by gravity. It is by far the most common form of irrigation throughout the world and has been practiced in many areas virtually unchanged for thousands of years.
Surface irrigation is often referred to as flood irrigation, implying that the water distribution is uncontrolled and therefore, inherently inefficient. In reality, some of the irrigation practices grouped under this name involve a significant degree of management (for example surge irrigation). Surface irrigation comes in three major types; level basin, furrow and border strip.

Sugar, Power & Distillery Sector

A branch of the food-processing industry comprising specialized enterprises that manufacture white granulated sugar from sugar beets and refined sugar from granulated sugar. Sugarcane is the principal raw material used in sugar processing in tropical and subtropical countries. In the USSR the output of the sugar industry is very important in the commodity turnover. Sugar is directly consumed by the public and is used in many branches of the food-processing industry.
The production of sugar from sugarcane was known in antiquity. Sugar was first industrially produced in the 16th century in India. In Russia the sugar industry originated in the early 18th century, when the first sugar refinery was opened in St. Petersburg (1719). The refinery processed imported raw cane sugar. In Russia and Germany sugar was first produced from sugar beets in the early 19th century. The Russian sugar industry was highly centralized and was one of the first branches of industry to develop large-scale monopolistic associations. Before World War I, Russia was second, after Germany, in world beet-sugar production.

Industrial Sector

Word History: A clear indication of the way in which human effort has been harnessed as a force for the commercial production of goods and services is the change in meaning of the word industry. Coming from the Latin word industrial, meaning "diligent activity directed to some purpose," and its descendant, Old French industries, with the senses "activity," "ability," and "a trade or occupation," our word (first recorded in 1475) originally meant "skill," "a device," and "diligence" as well as "a trade." Over the course of the Industrial Revolution, as more and more human effort became involved in producing goods and services for sale, the last sense of industry as well as the slightly newer sense "systematic work or habitual employment" grew in importance, to a large extent taking over the word. We can even speak now of the Shakespeare industry, rather like the garment industry.

Airport Sector

Like all of Hailey's novels, Airport centers on a major modern institution that touches on everyone's life but about which the ordinary person knows very little. Here, the author draws on his extensive preparatory research to provide a wealth of clearly presented and accurately-detailed information about most aspects of airport procedures and the handling of planes.
The result is that after completing the book even the most demanding reader feels satisfied about having been given an exhaustive and reliable "behind-the scenes" look at the workings of a large modern airport. The narrative also features a number of stories about the personal and professional lives of a variety of characters who in one way or another are related to the institution under examination. These plots and subplots arouse uncomplicated feelings of sympathy or condemnation in the reader and, along with this emotional appeal, provide suspense. Finally, the novel touches on some.

Special Economic Zone Sector

Lately, India, or at least its economic growth, seems to be on everybody’s agenda the world over. Its economic development particularly fires the imagination of Indian and foreign investors. This has led to books being published with titles like “Global Power India” or slogans like “China was yesterday, India is today”. Many institutions such as the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce or various consulting companies in Germany sing the Indian tune and recommend doing business in the subcontinent. What to companies and investors may seem to be a vast new horizon for investment offering a plethora of opportunities, is not necessarily welcomed unanimously in India. The development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) is one element in this vein which is currently leading to a great deal of conflict between various actors, be they political or societal. This is all the more interesting as India was certainly not known as a country that inspired foreign investors. After India’s independence in 1947, the Indian government under the leadership of its first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, and with the help of the planning skills of one now forgotten Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, a Cambridge-trained physicist and statistician, ushered a planned economy in where the “commanding heights” were to be occupied by the government. Liberalisation was a far cry and not the demand of the day, not even for the industrialists who drew up the so-called “Bombay Plan”.

Highway Sector

A highway is any public road or other public way on land; the term exists in distinction to waterway. In North American and Australian English, the term frequently implies a major road such as a controlled-access highway or an arterial, generally under the control of a state or provincial agency instead of a local road authority.
In British English, highway is primarily a legal term, and normal usage implies roads, while legal usage covers any route or path with a public right of access, including footpaths etc. The term has led to several related derived terms, including highway system, highway code, and highway patrol.

Railway Sector

The history of rail transport in India began in the mid-nineteenth century. The core of the pressure for building Railways In India came from London. In 1849, there was not a single kilometre of railway line in India. A British engineer, Robert Maitland Brereton, was responsible for the expansion of the railways from 1857 onwards. The Allahabad-Jabalpur branch line of the East Indian Railway had been opened in June 1867. Brereton was responsible for linking this with the Great Indian Peninsula Railway, resulting in a combined network of 6,400 km (4,000 mi). Hence it became possible to travel directly from Bombay to Calcutta. This route was officially opened on 7 March 1870 and it was part of the inspiration for French writer Jules Verne's book Around the World in Eighty Days. At the opening ceremony, the Viceroy Lord Mayo concluded that “it was thought desirable that, if possible, at the earliest possible moment, the whole country should be covered with a network of lines.

Port Sector

A port is a location on a coast or shore containing one or more harbors where ships can dock and transfer people or cargo to or from land. Port locations are selected to optimize access to land and navigable water, for commercial demand, and for shelter from wind and waves. Ports with deeper water are rarer, but can handle larger, more economical ships. Since ports throughout history handled every kind of traffic, support and storage facilities vary widely, may extend for miles, and dominate the local economy. Some ports have an important military role.
